Creating projects

In extro you can create both umbrella projects and individual projects . Which option you choose depends on whether multiple jobs should be managed under one shared project.
This article shows you step by step how to manually create projects in extro .

Note:
When the Xpandit integration is active, projects are created in Xpandit and automatically synchronized with extro . The following steps apply to manually creating projects in extro.

Creating an umbrella project

Open Projects → «+» → Add project

• Project name Enter

• Project type: Umbrella project

• Optional:

  • Add a description

  • Enter a discount

 

Add project management

• Using «+» Add project management

• Save

 

Define work types

• Using «+» Add work type
• Select the work types to be used in the project
• Save

• Optional: Add a site

Save the project

• Check whether the selected work types are displayed correctly

• Save

Creating an individual project

• Open Projects → «+» → Add project

• Project name Enter

• Project type: Standard project

• Optional:

  • Add a description

  • Enter a discount

 

Add a site, project management, and work types

• Using «+» Add site or create a new site

• Project management and work types add as for the umbrella project

• Save
