In extro the role model controls which functions and areas users can access.
There are three predefined standard roles:
Administrator
Project Manager
Employee
These standard roles are not directly editable.
For individual requirements, you can create new roles or duplicate and customize existing roles.
Procedure
Open role management
Open Settings → Roles and Permissions
Understand the standard role overview
In the overview, you can see all existing roles as columns
The three standard roles (Administrator, Project Manager, Employee) are predefined
These roles cannot be changed
Permissions are displayed for each module and distinguish between:
no permission
limited permission
-
full permission
Add a new role
Select New Role
Assign a unique role name
OK → The new role is now displayed in the role overview.
Define permissions for the new role
Select Edit
Select the newly created role
Define the desired permissions for each module
Save
Create a role by duplicating
This method is suitable when a new role differs only slightly from an existing one.
For the relevant role, select the three dots Duplicate
Name the duplicated role
All permissions from the original role are retained
Select Edit
Define the desired permissions for each module
