In the General Time Management Settings you define how and when working time must be approved. You decide whether time can be approved at any time or whether a mandatory approval by a specific day of the week is required.
These settings form the basis for a clean, consistent approval and sign-off process within the company.
Purpose of these settings
With the General Time Management Settings you centrally control:
whether weekly approval is mandatory
whether approval must take place without time restrictions or
by a fixed due date
Ideal for companies that want to standardize time tracking or establish clearly regulated billing and control processes.
Procedure
Open Settings → General Time Management Settings
Configure time approval without a day limit
If no time restriction is required, no further settings are necessary.
Employees can record and approve their time flexibly.
Sign-off takes place independently of a fixed deadline.
Recommended, if:
working hours are highly flexible
no fixed weekly or monthly billing is required
Enable time approval for a specific day
Activate the slider “Require weekly approval”
In the Due day field, select the desired day of the week (e.g. Friday)
Close the window. The setting is saved automatically
From this point on, employees must approve their time by the defined dayso that it can be signed off.
Recommended, if:
payroll runs or billing are deadline-driven
clear cut-off times are required
multiple roles (admin, project management, HR) are involved
Impact on daily operations
Employees can clearly see by when time must be approved
Approval and sign-off processes become predictable and consistent
Downstream processes (payroll, billing, export) run smoothly
